COURSE OVERVIEW GWO

Working At Height-  This module is designed to equip participants with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to work safely at height. You will learn how to use basic PPE and how to work at heights safely. We also teach techniques for a basic rescue from heights in a remote wind turbine environment.

GWO Manual Handling-    The aim of this module is to promote the correct manual handling techniques and practices. Delegates will learn to consider when there can be alternatives to manual handling by planning before acting. Where manual handling in a wind turbine environment is unavoidable, we will teach and demonstrate the correct methods which aim to prevent injury as a result of lifting.

GWO Sea Survival- The aims of this module is to give the participants the basic knowledge and skills to act and work safely at sea and take the correct preventive actions to help ensure that safety.

GWO First Aid- The aim of this module is to enable those attending to administer first aid skills correctly and safely, with particular focus on using them in the wind turbine industry/ WTG environment.

GWO Fire Awareness-  The goal of this module is to give the delegates essential knowledge and skills to help prevent fires, make appropriate judgements when there is a fire, manage an evacuation of personnel and ensure the safety of all on site. For smaller fires or ones that can be safely handled by the delegates, we teach appropriate fire-fighting skills and the correct use of equipment.
