DBC Group’s skilled access service is your greatest maintenance ally. Since 1998, DBC Group has been collaborating with heavy industry and infrastructure clients to improve asset reliability. From our beginnings in offshore oil and gas we have continued to expand our capabilities to new sectors and to provide reliable access and maintenance services throughout the Eastern states of Australia.

DBC is an ISO accredited company with compliance to IRATA and quality, safety and environment standards. DBC Group is a solutions-first organisation. Our focus is to create a specific solution that is both safe and cost effective. We understand each work scope is accompanied by a unique set of risks and challenges which demand higher-level thinking and applied knowledge. This is what separates us. We combine our many years of experience with the latest technology, access approaches, multi skilled personnel and equipment to present the concept plan and do the work. We develop a safe method of access to the work site, completing the work as planned with minimal footprint. Our self managed team has retrieval capability at the work site and develops emergency rescue plans which are an integral part of each safe work methodology.

Over the decades, we have attained unparalleled industry knowledge that we now practise through managing entire projects from start to finish. Using our standards accredited Integrated Management System and our certified application of the IRATA International Code of Practice, we are able to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver the expected project outcome.

Over the lifetime of DBC, we have accumulated valuable experience and skill across every sector. This allows us to produce safe and effective solutions to appropriately fit any maintenance situation, either planned or unplanned. Our teams of skilled trades technicians and engineers work collaboratively with many diverse stakeholders to ensure maximum success, minimal interruption, and lasting improvement to asset reliability.

Our teams can be configured for different tasks – mobile welding capability, calibrated torquing and mechanical, specialist blasting and coating capability, NDT inspection, refractory maintenance, industrial or environmental installations/hazard reduction, work at height and confined space management or frequently various dynamic combinations of all our capabilities.

Drawing upon our rich technical history and high-level expertise, we provide access consultancy services for clients seeking creative and engineered lifting and access solutions. From working with many different organisations in various sectors we have learned how to distil the key issues and communicate ideas, including unexpected potential solutions. We have initiated engineered access and complex lifting approaches in collaboration with our clients on many occasions, consistently prioritising efficiency, productivity, and safety. This ensures our clients’ will be optimising their assets for years to come.

IRATA ROPE ACCESS TRAINING

TO

Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA).

IRATA is the peak international industry association for rope access providing a certification that is recognised world wide. Training and certification is delivered by IRATA’s accredited member companies around the world. Only an IRATA rope access training member company, like DBC Group, is certified to deliver IRATA training and assessment.

DBC Group has been a leading rope access provider since 1998. Operating from our warehouse and training facilities in Bulli NSW, we achieved IRATA member company status and began delivering IRATA certified rope access training and assessment in 2012.

We are the professionals that provide training and ongoing IRATA certification for rope access technicians working across Australia, overseas, and even for those technicians who are engaged by our competitors. DBC have trained and upskilled some of the most skilled rope access technicians in the world, helping them achieve and retain their IRATA certification.

Over the course of five days, our IRATA instructors take candidates through both practical manoeuvres and theoretical training, culminating in final independent assessment in order to gain, upgrade, or recertify their certification as a qualified IRATA rope access technician. Training is available for Levels 1, 2 and 3.
